Audition Requirement

We have decided that children who do not want a main part are NOT required to audition this year. We had originally said they did (a change from previous years), but decided to go back to what we have done in the past. If your child wants to simply be an enesemble part, he/she can just turn in the audition form this Thursday or Friday after school on their way out the door.

Audition forms will be passed out out at the parent meeting Tuesday, December 1. This is at 6 PM in the gym. This is a mandatory meeting for everyone wanting to participate in the musical. One parent/guardian must attend this meeting (students are not required to be there).

Musical auditions are fast approaching. Here is some important information:

1-You can find all audition information here on the PTO blog. Click on the "Musical" tab. There you can find all important dates, links to character breakdowns, audition materials, and music you can use to prepare for auditions. 

2-Please note there will be a MANDATORY parent meeting December 1 at 6 PM. All students wanting to participate in the musical this year must have a parent or guardian attend this meeting. 

3-Auditions will be December 3 and 4. You can sign up for a time slot at the parent meeting. We will have callbacks December 11. This will be by invitation. 

4-The show this year will have some main parts from all grades. 

5-The performance dates will be March 18-19. This is a different date than we initially sent out. We have had to change it due to scheduling conflicts. 

There will be more detailed information coming home in the next couple of weeks. We keep the blog updated for all current information.

A Big Thank You!

We are only a couple of months into the school year, but we have already had many activities. Thanks to all who helped with fluoride, vision screening, grandparents day, red ribbon week, spirit days, spirit shirts, box tops, book fair, feeding the teachers and the fundraiser. We have great volunteers at our school!

This year, after expenses, we raised over 4,000! Thanks to all who helped make it a huge success!

You Are Part of the Legacy

We are so excited to host the 6th annual Evening of Art. It will be November 12 from 6:30-8:00 PM.

Refreshments will be served.

Performances of musical finalists will begin at 5:30 PM.

Our theme this year is "You are part of the legacy." Projects will be accepted November 5-6 before and after school. No entries will be accepted after these days. Projects must be new and original.
